Alright just wanting to clean up my engine bay a bit and wondering if anyone has ever thought or retrofitting a better looking wiper motor, or thoughts on making a fiberglass cover of some sort.

I smoothed out the firewall............used a wiper motor from a Ford Ranger (small) w/ the original arms put it all under the dash

I have a thin sheet alum cover Im in the process of fabbing up as a cover. mostly just a wrap around for the motor itself, but should improve the look immensely over the paint chipped motor there now. (as seen in the pic below) I'll either secure it with some stainless hose clamps or the like. just something I scissored out of the metal I had to improve the look a little.
however I have seen someone cover it with a cut up bud can. it actually looked kind of cool on that particular car

We installed a motor from an early a-body in Jeff's Dart. They were under the dash 66-earlier. We took the bracket, too.

Hey Jim...thanks for the memories!! on the 64, I had the wiper motor spinning, reached up and got my finger stuck between the drive arm and the motor housing! I stalled the motor right out. Talk about hurtin! !

Jim, did you use the OEM wiper mounting holes when you put in the early w-mtr & early bracket ? Another question (a dumb one maybe); can one add a var speed switch to make a motor be variable in speed or do you need a special motor as well ?
