Looking for a 4-bbl intake maniflod (& carb?) for my, nearly stock, '71 Dart GT (318, auto., 3.23:1 gears, elec. ign., dual exhaust with FlowMaster 40s). Current 2-bbl carb is leaking and worn out, thought a 4-bbl might give me a tish more respect at the local car cruises (might even add the small Summit cam while I'm at it). Edelbrock Performer , Edelbrock LD4B , or even a cast-iron factory manifold . Let me know what you've got, how much $ you want, and where you are at. Thanks!! (DartGT)Dan

dartfreak, According to mymopar.com your intake is for/from a '70 340. I've been told the 340's intake ports are larger than my 318's intake ports. I'm not sure it would work. ________________________________________________________________________________________ Larry408, Is your intake from a 318? Anymore details like a part number available? Dan

The part number is 3698434. There is a AL after the number.

larry408,
According to mymopar.com the intake you have is from a '74 360. Again, not sure if it'll work on a 318. I'll have to ask around.
Thanks,
Dan

If you would like I could take pictures of it still on the motor and forward them to you. Let me know. Thanks, Alan

The 340/360 intakes will work with 318 ports. It is not optimal, but it will work. The last 273 I had got my spare 340 cam and intake and ran well.

An old Edelbrock SP2P is about the only common 4B intake I know that mates nicely with the small 318 heads. They are on ebag fairly regularly. Like Jim said the others will work. Hey dartfeak if he doesn't want yours I'd like to talk to you about it.

I agree with Jim Lusk, as I put a factory 340 cast intake on my son's Dart which is running a VERY stock 318 and it works out very well. The only part about our 340 intake, is that it is set up for a spread bore carb and since I am running a 600 cfm Holley on it, I had to use a spread bore to square bolt carb adapter.

dartfreak, I've asked around, and it appears the 340 manifold will work on my 318. I assume all holes are good (not stripped) etc.. Send photos if you will as well, And could you give me a total price including shipping to zip code 48044. E-mail me at DartGTDan@aol.com with details. Thanks Dan
