I've mated 37 degree AN flares to 45 degree flares on both steel & aluminum tube & never had one leak. One with steel tube is parked in my garage right now. That fuel system was built about 15 years ago. Never any leaks. My Dart has aluminum fuel line, has been together only 7 or 8 years. No leaks.

Personally, FOR ME, it's a non-issue, & I'll continue to do this on my own & my brother's cars. If it makes YOU feel better, then by all means get a 37 degree flare tool.

Yeah I hate those dbl. flares also ...I caan usually get it done but i rather not , LOL lol.  One other tip be sure your cut is square to the tubing,
I've gotten to the point of measuring the old ones and just buying new tubes.  Not as expensive as you may think and it's right, with no high blood presurre on my part.

Well it turned out to be the tool after all. Cheapie Advance Auto flaring tool SUCKED  I went over the the Snap On dealer and shelled out $120 for a nice Blue Point tool with a really nice tubing cutter. It made all the difference in the world as evidenced below.

Thanks for all the help guys!!!

K-D from napa is a great flaring tool,I found that filing the outside of the  line and tightning it just right works everytime.
