Front rim width/backspacing
« on: November 08, 2007, 12:35:41 PM »

I am wanting to run a 15x7 or 15x8 on my 72 duster with 73 style brakes but I have absolutely no clue on what backspacing to go with. I'll probably be going with the 15x7. So what size rim with what backspacing and tire are you all running up front?

I'm not sure if this will help but I'm running ProStars 15"x5" rims with 31/2" back spacing. The tires are MickeyTs 26"x6". They are on my early a Barracuda(1965) with an AlterK frontend. That is my max back spacing.

Well I think that I'm going to go with a 15x7 with 4.5" of backspacing and a 215/60-15 tire. Has anyone had any experience with this setup or tire?
