Lunati cam question
« on: November 15, 2007, 09:13:09 PM »

Would anybody happen to have any information on the older Lunati solid camshafts for mopar RB engines?  I have what I was told, is an old Super Stock Cheater cam, but the lift seems to be higher than what those cams should have been in the late 60's.  I know that this cam has been around at least in the 70's as it was handed down from racer to racer and even back again a couple of times.

The intake checked out at .577 lift when multiplied by the 1.5 rocker ration and the exhaust was somewhere around .585.  It is long on duration and overlap.  The ramps appear to be fairly quick as well.  The engine has a very lopey idle to it. Pulls about 10 lbs of vacuum at 1100 rpm idle in neutral.

Right now I am way too lazy to remove it and check it out thoroughly.  It does say lunati on the camshaft though.  Singlebolt design also.

Roll Eyes Thanks!
