F-body disc brakes?
« on: November 18, 2007, 10:53:01 PM »

I know the topic of whats exchangable from a 76-80 aspen to my dart. and I'm almost certain the disc caliper mount will work but I'm wondering if anyone can tell me if a 78 aspen would have 11.75 front discs? my brother bought a parts car for his 79 and I'm going to "borrow" a couple things for my car. like if this car has a/c i'm going to use it on mine.

Nope, the FMJ cars never had the bigger 11.75 rotors.  The only cars that got those from the factory were the B and R body cars.  At first they were optional but by 1976 or so they became standard on just about all the B and R body cars.

The spindle is the same for FMJ and B/R body cars though so it is possible to run across cars where brake swaps occurred.  It is a very easy swap.
