Ok I've been working on the car a lot redoing the trunk and the mini tub and all that stuff now it's time to mount the fuel pumps and tank. This is what I'm thinking of doing. The tank needs to be raised a little in the back to make room for the sump to hang down without cutting a whole in the new trunk. I was thinking of welding some holley fuel bowls to the trunk and setting the tank on that then making some big strips of metal that go around the fuel cell and mount to the trunk (like the ones summit sells). This is how I was thinking of putting the fuel pumps and filters too. I want to do it all with hardlines and AN fittings so it looks real good I don't want any soft lines like it was before. The fuel lines will exit the trunk near the back where there is a little raised hump I'll put three bulkhead connectors through that. Then I'm going to put the nitrous bottle on the left. How should I support the fuel pumps so they don't tip over? I was thinking of making straps just like the one I'll be making for the fuel cell for the aeromotive pump..... I'm not really sure about that part though..... What do you guys think.

How should I support the fuel pumps so they don't tip over? You could build a couple of "L" shaped brackets that bolt or weld to the trunk floor and then use the mounting strap kits that are available for most fuel pumps of that style. I did the same thing for my Dart but instead welded the brack to the underside of the trunk floor next to the spare tire well. I am using a sumped factory fuel tank instead of a cell in the trunk.

I was thinking of doing L shaped brackets or like upside down U brackets like two little stands that tucked up underneath the thing but I think it would be a little cooler to see the holley fuel bowls poking out under the fuel cell. Something out of the ordinary and different

The whole idea sounds nuts to me! Cut a hole in the floor and mount it properly, why anyone would want a high pressure pump and lines inside the trunk is beyond me, if anything should leak I want the fuel on the floor not inside the car. Electric pumps can also lose prime if they are not mounted lower than the tank, found that one out the hard way. You might want to run a couple of braces between the chassis rails under the tank, lot of weight in a full fuel cell.

This is a street car and it's parked on the street in front of my house and in the parking lot at the grocery store I don't want all of my pumps on the outside of the car where someone can walk up and pull one of the pumps off from under the car, If I do a wheelie the fuel lines will hit the ground right? There are a lot of cars with a lot more intricate fuel systems than this in the trunk. Circuit cars have setups with like 2 pumps and swirl pots, coolers and stuff, it's so crazy it's hard to even see what your looking at.

Perhaps you should mount the exhaust system inside the car as well is case someone decides to steal that OK, all joking aside, You asked for opinions and that was mine.Obviously if the pump is mounted under the car, you would mount it in a position where it would not get hit in a wheelstand situation.
