Topic: Offset of Center of u-joint on back axel (Read 263 times)

I'm ctting down a truck 8 3/4 rear end and seem to remember that there is a off set to the passenger side and I forgot how much it is.Any help would be app.

iff the axles are the same length the pinion is offset to one side,unfortunetly i don't remeber how much you could look in the tech pages maybe its there

I know with a Dana 60, the pinion is offset 1 3/16" to the pass side. I'm not sure about an 8 3/4 though. If you email this guy, he will be able to tell you. http://members.aol.com/doctordiff/

I know with a Dana 60, the pinion is offset 1 3/16" to the pass side. I'm not sure about an 8 3/4 though. If you email this guy, he will be able to tell you. http://members.aol.com/doctordiff/  with mopowers. 1 3/16" (closer to the pass side). The offset is the same no matter what rear axle you have.
