My rear is stock length A -body 8 3/4" Rims are 15x10" with a 6" back space if I remember correctly.( 295-50-15 drag radial) Gas tank is in stock location also. I am going to run my exhaust out the sides in front of the rear tires.

I cut out both sides but mounted the box flush with the frame rail to get the most clearance and still be able to weld the box in properly.

I did exactly the same, most things line up fine, but then again, I don't have my Strange rear end yet, nor do I have a fuel tank/cell, exhaust, trunk floor pan, inner wheel wells, etc........ I have a lot of work to do

I think they center the box in the frame, because it lines up with the rear frame rail. I cut mine on the inside frame rail and built an offset bracket to mount the rear of the spring.

I helped do the restoration bodywork on a '68 Hurst Hemi Barracuda, ex pro stock car, and it had the frame cut out for the spring boxes so I'm sure it's strong enough either way you want to do it.
