Whats the best way to find out what ohm sending unit is on my fuel cell, I want to get a fuel level gauge for the car ,but there are a couple of choices, 0-90 ohm, 70-30 ohm, and another ohm range also, the fuel cell in car was in it when I bought car.So how can I check to see which ohm sending unit it is, there is also wires running to sendind unit on cell but once they reach dash they are disconnected and just hanging there with wire nuts on them

take sender out, hook up ohm meter, record reading, raise float , record reading, reinstall sender, order proper guage and install per directions included with guage.

I believe that 0-90 is GM, 10-70 is ford and chrysler and 0-240 is aftermarket
