Well, it's on the trailer and I'll be heading over to the booth soon. Wish us luck - we'll be squirting color tomorrow morning. I'll have her back tomorrow night ready for reassembly. At least, that's the plan.
Oh... And I hate snow!

Just finishing the last coats of clear. It'll bake for an hour and we'll be ready to go... It's so weird seeing it in color after so much time.

Car looks fantastic! Were the inside of the fenders painted body color from the factory? It looks nice red.

Thanks guys. The car is home and all is well. It was snowing when it came time to take it home tonight. Luckily I'm only a couple of blocks from the place. Barely made it since it's uphill most the way. Once I got it in the shop I took a couple of big cotton bath towels and chamoised it off. Looked fine. Baking sure beats waiting overnight or longer. In fact, I would have been screwed due to the weather it I had waited any longer.
The insides of the fenders were painted body color from the factory - or at least in primer. We painted the back foot or so in the inside this you'll see them when the doors are open. I'll be blacking out and undercoating the wheel openings.
I'm very fortunate to have a friend who is a painter at the local Chev. dealer. They've got a downdraft prep area and booth with heat and can go in on weekends and do what they want.
I can finally start putting this thing back together. I'll post more pics later.
