Not sure if anyone is running or plan on running the Proform Roller Rockers, but I just noticed that the latest Mancini flyer has a note about them that they are NOT reccomended for cams with lifts over .484"....Wish I had known that, mine is .510"....Anyone need a set of pretty blue roller rockers? Last time I'll cheap out on parts...

I don't think you'll have any problems with .510 lift on these rockers. There's not a whole lotta difference between .484 and .510. I would run them. Just make sure you have a good oiling system and springs that are not overkill. Do the springs match the cam? If so, I think you'll be find. Mancini is probably playing it safe to avoid combacks from customers building higher rpm, higher rocker load engines. I don't think you'll find a whole lotta difference beween the Mopar Performance rockers, Dove rockers, and the Proform rockers.

You may be right but with close to $7k in the motor I'm not going to risk it...I'd hate to be wrong and have them break at 5-6,000 rpm...

I ran them with .501"/.501" 282*/292* with solid flat,6.92 1/8 mile they did good. The only thing the roller is small and I wish the plylocks were bigger&harder.WE didn't brake one ,when I took them off they looked new.My friend has crane gold it the same size plylock,he broke one(plylock) he called jegs to get some they toll him use ARP ones. Make sure you have about 3 or 4 theads showing. We shift at 5800rpm the Proform or the Crane gold don't have rollerbearing on the shaft and the same size plylocks. ![\/][](http://www.bigblockdart.com/Smileys/classic/finger020.gif) Maybe the steel is a better grade. The spring pressure is something to think about ,we both had comp 911 springs.Mine was .501" and his .509",his was a crane broke 1 lock, not like the bottom like in the hotrod mag. in over 5 years. The Proform was run hard 2 years .Make sure the oil holes and pointing at the valves. you are like my Mother worryed about s--t before it happens. GOOD LUCK , BENT

So stock Indy valves are junk? Inquiring minds want to know. And as far as the rocker issue goes, I have been running Harland sharps for about 7 years now. Some have had trouble, but I have had none. I only run solid flat tappet cams though......

I ran those garbage roller rockers in my newly rebuilt engine w/a .557 mech. cam and within 10 mles I busted one in half (rocker shaft hole),wich bent its pushrod throwing it into its neighbor and bending it. I took them back to mancini and got the ductile cranes and never had a problem since. lesson learned.......cheap aluminum roller rockers are not were you want to go
