My company is a large Military supplier, we even have a real four star general working for us, in the cube next to me is a former Marine, and I supply helicopter engines to the Army, there is no way we will forget about Pearl Harbor.

My dad was on the US Bellawood, it took a Kamakazzi hit, he told of watching his buddies burn to death right in front of him, he told stories of it his whole life. I will never forget them and the people serving today also....

Thank you for posting this. My family is from Honolulu & we lost two family members that day (one in the Navy and one civilian working for the Navy). It has always been a very somber day for my family. We all grew up reflecting heavily on the this day. My father still takes it the hardest (losing an uncle and an older cousin). This is the one topic he does not like discussing very much besides his Korea "Blood Alley" tour.

I was stationed at Barbers Point Hawaii in the Navy AIMD there, I went to the memorial several times, always, always, always gave Me a funny feeling to ride the boat out there with a bunch of Japanese tourists. I was also stationed in Atsugi Japan in a squadron attached to the USS Midway, I remember back then, if You were flying space available on an Air Force plane, You had to be in uniform, well one day I was on a train headed to Yakota AB for a flight. I had on a solid black uniform We called "Johnny Cash's" had on My ribbons, wings and My leather flight jacket. This old Japanese dude jumps up and starts waving his cane at me and hollering Japanese at ninety miles an hour (some choice epithets I'm sure), well I stood up and made the blowing up gesture with My hands ( with sound effects) and the next thing I know two younger dudes dragged Him off the train at the next station! Sorry to bore Ya, just brought back some memories.

My father in PT Boat squadrons and one uncle on Yorktown other one on the Enterprise. Thank God they all came home in one piece. Never, Never forget.

My great uncle Wilf, was a captain for Standard Oil. His ship left Pearl Harbour the day before the attack. He believed that the only reason that they didn't go down was that they were empty. (sitting high) He lost alot of sleep after that.
