No problem at all!

That's a good looking car... What color is that? It's unusual.

Anyways, looks like an awesome start for your project. I'm helping a buddy build a '76 Dart Sport thats in about the same condition. Someday when these pigs are all put together, we're going to have to go cruising.

I think the color may be sublime, it's original. Interior is dark green.
Cruising would be great once completed. !nanr

Good starting point there Gene.  Wink
500 starts as a 400 block with a .035 over bore and a 4.150 crank. It is a low deck motor
361,383,400. Looks on the outside like a mild mannered low deck, but even with stock appearing iron heads
it should have alot of torque and I am going to run 11 to 1 and a fairly large 273d @ .050 cam so I expect
strong perf. Solid 10s on motor and I have a small 150 shot plate nos, I may play with for a little more.

Thanks Rick. So I could built a stock looking engine and actually be running a stroker? Would the 383 with 906's and stroker kit put out 500+ hp?

Nice Duster - that's a very solid start for a project.

Yes a mild build 383/496 with 906s, hydraulic cam. 500 would be easy. Remeber the 383 with bolt ons put out 450, well over 1hp per inch.
The heads will restrict a 496 some but with bigger valves and some bowl work. Or just get the new 440 source heads and paint them.
They have the larger valve and should out flow the ported irons out of the box,.

Ksdartguy,My plan was to build the short block with the stroker kit and the 906s then when cash allows purchase the 440 source heads. I'm also planing a mini tub. I have a 8 3/4 with 430 suretrac that is set up for 4 link and coil springs. I'm also planning on adding frame connectors. The things I'm not really sure of are the cam, manifold and carb. I also need info on a stall speed convertor. This is where  i hoped I could get some import from you guys , the wealth of experience and knowledge.

Thanks,
Gene
