i was wondering if it is possible to convert a mid 80's b, f, or g body disc brakes to my 1970 dodge dart? javascript:void(0);

i get all my stuff from chrysler fifth avenues with 318's .. late 80's .. i have done it several times .almost everything works even the master cylinder .. if you get lucky the master cylinder will be alluminum.. you just need the adapter plate to bolt onto the firewall..

wickedfirefighter do you mean ALL including upper control arms?  I always thourgt you had to use 73 & up disk brake a body upper control arms. |

It's my understanding that the UCA's from those mid 80's cars will not work on an A body.

the fifthaves should have the 10.980 " rotors and the calipers should look like these on the link .. http://www.cardone.com/English/club/members/customer/ecat_brands/imageinfo.asp?PARTNUM=184145S summit sells drilled rotors for these stock calipers for $69.95 each that are thick for street use ... if you order some make sure you get the 10.984" and not the 11.025" rotors .. the 11.025 rotors can be used if you have the correct calipers and spindle bracket to space the caliper farther away to clear tha wider rotor i have found these the on later b-bodys 73 and up .. they bolt to a a- body disc spindle also if you dont forget to grab the caliper bracket .. if you find this set up on a b body get the spindle also they have a decent value ... i never tried the upper a arms out of a fifth ... i have also always used the 73 and up a-arms .. i will go look tonight and see .. i cant remember if the drum arms have the bigger ball joint or if the disc arms do .. if the drums do just drill out the disc spindle a bit ..  |

 You need upper control arms for '73 -'76 A body. Bill sells new ones if you are sick of looking through junkyards and getting overcharged for 30+ year old rusty stamped steel. |

Couple of options...
If you are handy with a grinder/welder, buy the BBJ inserts from any circle track race outlet about $10-20. Retrofit a set of early SBJ arms to BBJ. The arms are the same dimensionally, only the ball joint attachment is different. I get the early arms for free most of the time., nobody really wants them. Sad thing, I threw out so many SBJ arms I can't remember the number as I thought they were worthless.
Find a set 73-76 arms. Most of the time the drum brake arms are BBJ. Easy way to check is castle nut size. BBJ is 13/16", IIRC, SBJ is 5/8".
Buy Bills Arms.
