What might be happening, a lot of people sign up that dont meet the minimum amount of posts, I have been trying to be lenient, but I will not activate accounts with zero posts. I have been doing it for people with around 20 posts, but don't expect it if you have zero, or only 5 posts in the past two years.

READ the info about "The Trading Post" RULES!!
440 Trading Post, an off-site Sale/Trading board now open for B B D Members.

For those of you craving a For Sale board for the past year, I have setup a PRIVATE, off-site Sale/Trading board for B B D members only, this site will be run by me, no connection to B B D, RMS, or Bill Reiley. You will have to read and abide by the rules the members as a group have requested.

There will be three catagories of members:

Group 1. Probationary, this group will be allowed to access and view all areas, except they will not be allowed to post in the For Sale, Ebay, and Craigslist forums, you need a minimum of 30 posts if you are a new member here (less than 6 mos) when you get to 100 posts here on B B D, or 6 months and 50 posts, you will be allowed upgrade to full member.

Group 2. Full User, Allowed access and posting to all areas, you have have at least 100 posts here, or be a member for six months and have at least 50 posts.

Group 3. Moderators

Now all you have to do is go here are register. You HAVE to use the same username as you have on here, if it does not match, your account will not be activated. Happy selling!

Kinda funny.  The forsale section was how I was refered here.  I wanted to post my Hemi motor forsale and a Rat Roaster intake.  Found out there wasn't a forsale section so I hadn't been back here in a while.

Received an email a few days back saying bbd sign misses you...so I decided to return and see if anything had changed.  And now I don't have enough posts to post my intake forsale.

Well count this as ONE more post to my name.  Glad to see a forsale section coming around again.  If I get back into classic muscle at least I will have another avenue of purchasing stuff.

Whatever your screen name here is, is MUST be the same when you register. If your account is not activated after a few days, then you need to re-read the first post of this thread. You will have your answer.

With all due respect, I thourghly read the first post of this thread. Frustrated Frustrated  It says to use your username, which is what I did.  I sent you PM's explaining the situation, which you did not answer.  On this board bbd sign a user can change their screen name as it appears but their use name stays the same.  In my case my username (70runner)was used as required in the first post of this thread and it is different than what my name appears (74duster383).  I tried to use my screen name after I wasn't activated within the first few days.  The system then tells me that the email is used by another user which is me from trying to register the first time.  So, I am stuck.  I've registered with my user name but it is not activated.  I can't register using my screen name as it appears because my email is already used.  I am not trying to air this for all to see, but I explained all this in a PM and you didn't answer.  I'm not trying to be difficult here, just trying to get access.

it keeps saying the confirmation code is wrong. I entered it 3 or 4 times, now it says I have to wait. I entered them all correctly.

I dunno. I'll try again later.

Your inbox is full jackass!  Frustrated I tried to contact you a few times to tell you you are all setup. Login using 74duster383 and the password you typed in. Clean it out and I can respond to you.

Nice attitude, flyboy, real professional.  If my inbox was full you could have replied with just that and not posted the wrong instructions.  I was only trying to explain my situation, yes my inbox was full and I didn't know it, that doesn't make me a jackass, I think your reply clearly shows who the jackass is.   moon moon

But, thanks for taking care of the issue even if you have no professionalism.  I deal with as&(*)h01es like you all the time.

Maybe I was out of line calling you a jackass, but, you implied that I was ignoring you when in fact, I could not contact you. When you start a post by saying "With all due respect", you are essentially implying that I was the jackass. Your choice of words riled me up. That phrase ALWAYS means something negative. Chose your words carefully in the future and I might not react like that. I try not to use up bandwidth on this site by posting "clean out your inbox" posts that nobody really wants to see. I tried twice on different days to contact you, I activated your account 10:00 am this morning before you posted this at 5:59 pm.  I felt bad that I had not been able to do so all week so i activated a bunch of accounts. Last week my laptop died, and I had lost my "new account activation emails", I had to get a new computer setup, then on top of that, Friday morning I has eye surgery, until today I could not even read a computer screen after my surgery. I'm sorry that I affected your life so greatly by not activating your account any sooner. I created that site on my dime as a free forum because a lot of the members here were missing the For Sale section, including me, take a chill pill, and if it takes me a week to activate someones account, then I probably have a very good reason, its not the end of the world.

With all due respect......I am not trying to air this for all to see, but I explained all this in a PM and you didn't answer.

 agree
All is good, and I certainly appreciate your website, its well received since we lost our for sale section here.  My box was full, but I didn't even know there was a small limit like that.    my bad.  I wasn't in a huge hurry and assumed you were busy, I was just trying to get access.  Its all straightened out now, and thanks again for the site.   bbd sign thank you

The Confirmation Numbers All Come Up Invalid...I Give Up!

It only took 6 tries for me to get it right. After my second try I had my wife come over to confirm the code with me. Didn't make a bit of difference, even though the letters looked as obvious as the characters on my keyboard, the "captcha" code failed:(

I am not sure wht the issue is, 400 people have signed up, and about 5 of you had this problem. Next time it happens, type the code you are getting into the box, but instead of submitting it, take a screen shot, then email it to me, I would like to figure out what is going on, but everytime I try it, it works.  Dunno

You can take a screen shot hitting the print screen key at the top of the keyboard and pasting it to a word document, just make sure the page is in "landscape" so I can see it, then email me that.

It would not work for me. I did see where it says you have to have so many posts. Mine is only at 6 posts and says that I'm a new member in July of '06. I haven't been here often lately but I have been a member since 2000/2001. I unfortunately have HAD to get out of the Mopar field and go for something cheaper and that is why I haven't been around. I do however have lots of Mopar parts left over from before and I'm looking to move them out of the garage. Help me out here Bill.

Bill has nothing to do with it, its my site, and I set the rules according to public opinion, and beleive me, my rules are much more lax that some people wanted. The whole point was that people get to know you by your post so they feel more comfortable with dealing with you. With only 7 posts in 2 years, nobody knows who you are. You still have many options, ebay, craigslist, moparts, FABO, etc.

Yea ok, 30 post does not sound to bad. I didn't know that Bill had gotten rid of the site. And oh yes, people know who I am around here. I'll get my 30 as needed, and thanks.

I agree - If it was up to me, it would take 100 posts minimum before you can sell. It keeps the drifters out. FYI - LILDARRELL I have no idea who you are, so no, we don't know you.
