I was digging thru some old magazines and found a august 1962 hot rod. It has a how to on putting a 413 in a 62 lancer.

I scaned 5 pages of that article, but since im a dumb ol farmer type, i don't know to get them here. I ALSO FOUND ANOTHER ARTICLE FROM MARCH 68 , 2 pages on putting a bb in a lancer.

The scans he sent me are not readable either ...I was in a hurry when I posted them, didn't even look at them once i posted them ... sorry bout that .... maybe he can send me some higer resloution scan files ?

I've got that book back in the states. On one of the cars it even shows how to modify a slant 6 engine mount for use in dumping a big block in.  |

I have an old book engine swaps tips and techiniques, with a bunch of articles from Hot Rod magazine, and they are there, ultra cool stuff. Guess it is still possible to find the book on amazon, but didn't checked that out too.

Hi Guys, just browsing the abody stuff and ran accross this. That Lancer is a car Dode Martin
and some of his friends built in 62, they later became "Dragmaster" I believe; if my memory
serves my correctly. I saw it run at Lions dragstrip in Long beach, Calif. in 62 . It was awsome
back then; no roll bars, no frame connectors, we did'nt know we needed them back then!!!

love the exhaust at first i thought they were manifolds but looking closer they look like tubes but still a good idea
i wonder if u get more tire clearance?
