Not trying to highjack or start arguments or anything but...

#1     Why don't people use the 383 block?  I have one and want to do a 496 kit, but really do not hear much about it; rather I read/hear all about 400 and 440 stroker kits.  Any comments?


383 block is good but the larger the bore, the better the heads will work.
383 blocks even bored .060 still need the block notched for the best flow.
It will work, but that is why the 400 bore is better to start with.
