The springs are a heavy duty single spring with damper that we've used up to .600 lift with no problems. They're 1.500OD and 1.08 ID. We have a test motor here right now with a comp 565 lift in it, and it revs to 7000+ with no valve float or missing whatsoever. Of course, if you want to run a bigger spring, you'd just have to get the springs matched to your cam from the cam manufacturer and swap the springs with the ones that come on the heads (a quick and easy job.)

We won't know the exact shipping yet (we're having custom packaging made) and it will vary a bit depending on how far from southern california you are, but it's looking like a good estimate is going to be in the $50-$60 range per set.

We might also do a package deal, heads and stroker kit for one low price... Just add your block...

Also, thanks everyone for the kind words. We appreciate your support!

I called and talked to someone at the 440 Source .
Straight shooter ! Tells the truth about their product.
They have my respect for being Honest .
I guess the heads will be too small for my application though.
I will be spending my dough with Indy for what I will need.
I f I decide to do something smaller in the future I will consider using the Stealth heads.   4 speed

Thank's 496Dart.
I have a set of 440-1 heads built by Marsh Performance on my  blower motor. No Indy rockers .
They work great !
I would never let Indy assemble them because I know they are not exactly honest .
They definitely have hosed people on their port jobs.
I will buy another set throughTodd Marsh ,because he makes sure they are fine before they leave his shop.
I build wedge motors and the edelbrocks are too small, and I don't like the victor heads.
This kind of narrows the buying field for me.
Not interested in B-1 heads either.
I think it is terrible for a outfit to screw people like that . Take them to court...
I won't be buying from pro comp because they won't tell me about their heads for fear of copying them . WoW! How lame is that ? !
If you know of anyone else that is a possibility for Big high flowing head's let me know.

Hey Brandon, you treat us right, so we treat you right... I still need to send you pics of my KB block based 528 for your website. Find a pic off of the "440source - the journey begins" thread and I'll send you the full size one. I have more with the car, I just need to post.

My FBO ignition requires Autolite 85's. They seem to work good. I just saw on the 440 Source heads they require:

"Part No: 138-1000 - Champion Spark Plugs 3/4" extended reach"

Brandon or anyone, can you cross the Champions to Autolite 85 if someone has the incentive & time?

I know if the single springs are the same as the Eddy's they will work ok up to .600.  We had the stock single springs on the Eddy heads on my boys Dart with the MP .557 cam.   They worked fine for 2 years and we decided to change them this year to a dual spring and the car has run the same.  So I would say the springs it comes with is fine for a mild street car.   If you plan to race alot then just change the springs out.  Ron

Deliverance is a great movie. The dueling bango part is GREAT. I like the quick shot of the guy whistling @ the 3:09 mark.

I had that EXACT same station wagon. It was my grandmother's. 390, red interior, looked like it just came off the dealer's lot when I drove it around back in like 88. I put surfboards on the roof rack. Never shoulda sold that car. It's like a cool retro SUV.

No, they'll be the same price for at least a few months. Everybody that wants a set will be able to buy them at the $899/pair price.

i wouldnt rush onto any new head list.  what ever happend with the bulldog heads? i would be a little concerned with the longevity of these heads and the china quality control. im not metalurgist but there are things to consider, the proper alloy and heat cycling over the years. i have heard of people that have head gasket sealing issues on motors with tired old aluminum heads.  they have tried cutting a fresh deck and the problems didnt totally go away. now that i have added my negative 2 cents, ill be looking foward to everyones feed back on the new heads.   thank you

Bulldog went tits up.  Good Mr. bradshaw wont even answer his private telephone anymore and the Company is an answering machine that won't ever call you back
