Let my son drive my truck to a safety meeting today and an herd of elk was in the road as he came around a corner and he ran into one.Pretty sure the truck is a loss.Hood,front facia,bumper suports,radiator,air cond condencer,front engine ass,bothe fenders.mirror,dent on cab,dent on bed,both headlights and the engine is running rough.Son is ok,thats what's important.Elk die'd.

This his son. I feel like a jerk for what happened to the truck because of what it is/was, if there was anything I could have done I would have done it as there was elk in both lanes on a small two lane road. As far as the meat goes, the little town that it happened by just got wiped out by recent storms/flooding so I gave it to the locals, some ppl there lost everything and needed it more than me. Dad has good insurance though so hopefully maybe it can be saved.

Glad you're okay Jr. and glad your Dad only has a bent truck to worry about. Not much you can do in that situation. Reminds me of the time I first saw a highway sign that said "open range" Next thing I said was WTF?

Going to try and replace the truck with one of the Mr.Norms Hemi supercharged trucks.Thx for the concern about my son and the truck is replaceable.If the Bearing Sea didn't get my son hopefully no Elk will.

Glad he is ok Those Elk can do a lot of damage one of my drivers hit one last year did enough damage that the insurance company totaled the 2003 IH semi tractor. It had been in good shape .
