I design and program master molds and die models with Cad programs and 5axis routing machines.  Program the trimming operations and troubleshoot production processing issues with fiberglass and plastic manufacturing.

Firefighter for the City of Toronto. I'm assigned to one of 5 Squads in the city. These trucks are basically huge rolling tool boxes. They are full of specialty rescue equipment for things like auto extracation, high angle, confined space, water or any other type of technical rescues required.

I own a commodities investment firm. Been focusing primarily on the natural resouces sector like precious metals the last 4 years or so. Good run with more to come if the dollar continues to erode which we feel it will.

Maintenance dept for local Tubing factory , licensed tool and die maker / millwright , been there almost 30 yrs , started there on the floor as  labourer just for a while till i found a real job ,and then forgot to leave,  lol bash. We are capable of running everything from 1/2 inch to 3 inch from .020 thou. thick to .125 thick , round , square , rectangle , and ovals , the heavier wall stuff runs about 150 feet/min and the lighter wall we can get up to 425 ft/min, the minimum length off the mill is 4ft to 40ft max. Most of the material we run is mild steel , some medium carbon tool steels , and in galvanized and gavalume coatings , there is never a shortage of work , and sometimes we even get to have fun while we are doing it

Second year auto mechanic apprentice at one of the bigger GM dealerships in the city. I am in school right now for the first time since high school and it puts things into perspective- most of the guys in my class have done almost nothing but tires and oil changes, with the odd brake job every couple months. I thought I did a lot of oil changes.....but I've also done engines, some limited transmission work, a lot of electrical, and am our backup diesel tech because nobody else wants to touch it except for the one guy we have other than myself. I've learned a lot in the 3000 hours or so I have on the job and am looking to continue to learn a lot more. Plans? We'll see how I'm doing after I've been licensed for 4 or 5 years, and see if I can maneuver my way into a job as a shop foreman, or go into teaching (easy to do if you're a certified trades person in Ontario).

Farmington, what's your opinion on the new 08 Malibu? I have mixed feelings....neat looking car but it's pretty big. Almost seems as big as an Impala. I really like the looks of the 04-06 Malibu, especially the Maxx.

Not a fan of '08 Cadillac CTS....or any of the Caddy line for that matter. Escalades are the worst, you get the pain in the ass-ness to park on the hoist and heavy parts of a truck, with the "I have to leave it absolutely spotless" aspect of a Cadillac.

I am a profesional automotive relocation engineer ( car hauler ) I move them up to 10 at a time mostly between cleveland and orlando but more recently , Dallas.  I don't like the term "truck driver" because all that is , is a steering wheel holder. what I do is dirty , dangerous ( try backing a rear wheel drive  linc. town car up a steep incline with ice and snow under the tires, and only about 4 inches of clearance on each side for about 75 feet)  Total Fun ........... Really , it is. Grin  I go into auto auctions and pick up cars that dealers bought.  some auctions are really big (as many as 10 to 15 thousand cars on the lot) its like looking for a needle in a stack of needles sometimes. I do get to meet some really cool  and sometimes some really bizzar people.

I drive past it everyday on my way to work. I'll make sure to wave for now on! I applied for a millwright job where i'm at now but told them I would take the operator job if I did not get the MW position. They both paid the same so I figured what the H. i thought about looking into Us steel for an MW job awhile back.
