Yep I have. It is more commonly referred to as a "Browns gas generator" Browns being the guy who discovered the gas. I helped a friend build one of these a while ago. It does produce a form of hydrogen gas, it also draws a lot of current. The one we built could draw upwards of 30 amps. My only question of how effective would be is it producing enough gas to overcome the draw on the engine through the alternator. If it did it would br approaching a perpetual motion machine which is against the laws of physics. My friend never kept gas records so I don't know if any gains were made or not. I have wanted to build another one to try on my Dart, but haven't yet. There is plenty of free information on the net. Google "browns gas" and "water car", you could be reading for days.
