Aftermarket tailgate?

Has anyone here ever used an aftermarket tailgate for a 94-02 Ram ? The reason I ask is are they decently heavy or are they paper thin? Ours got stolen las week:(

If you sit on it you will bow it , There not very good.

Salvage yard, they will have them and they are the same as the one you had.

Some dumbass bodyshop put a chinese hood on my Yukon after he was paid for a factory hood. The giveaway was when I closed the hood and dented it with my hands.

Thanks guys. I guess its already too late:( the body guy though he had one then couldn't get so he painted an aftermarket one:( Some people around here say these ones form Cross Canada arent too bad. we'll see:( Bsides I tried every salvage yard around and they don't have any in good shape:(

That's f@#ked up man, I had the same thing happen to me, but at the time I had a $1k deductible on my truck to keep the monthly payment lower, and to get the tailgate replaced with a factory one through the insurance co. it would of cost almost $850.00 ........and that would have been out of my pocket...............so none the less I'm still driving around without a tailgate.............Everytime I see a truck the same color as mine, or with the same color tailgate I just want to go over and stick my key into the lock to see if it is mine ................and it is the same here in the wrecking yards to try and find a descent replacement.
If anybody has a 99 f-150 tailgate laying around, what do you want for it? I know it is a terd but I have my 58 to shoot for, and make it into my driver.
