I ran a 225 50R16's on the front of my 65 Cuda, the rims had a 5 in offset. Your tires will be .6 inch taller so I would think they should clear depending on your rim offset.

On my 63 Dart, I run 205-60-15 on stock 5th ave steel rims. I have 73 up disks, and it is lowered almost to the bumpstops. It works good for me.

The front edge of the tire just hit the fender. Maybe with wieght in the nose it will clear.

205/75R14's on Ralley's. There is about a finger width between the front of the tire and the outside edge of the wheel well closest to the bumper. You could go with a shorter tire or a thinner tire.

I have the 73 - 76 front disks and was planning on running cop car wheels with 225/60-15 Kumho ASX on all 4 corners. Wrong!
Those wouldn't fit at all. It rubbed when turning. I ended up getting 205/50-60 for the front. Now I have two spares for the back in case I have "traction problems" (read that has a heavy foot).
If I recall, the backspace on the cop wheels are 4.25" and I have t-bars lowered down close to the bump stops with no problems now.
The good news is that the same wheel size on all 4 looked weird, especially because of the increased front track on the front and the rear wheel openings being so low visually. Made the rear tires look a lot smaller than the front. Now with 205/50/-15 front and 225/60-15 rear the stance is much better.
