67-69 Barracuda bumper - bent - throw into scrap heap ?

I just pulled the front bumper off my 69 Barracuda , it is bent in the middle and a little wavy on the pass side , BUT the driver side half is nice.  Could the good part be cut off and used to save another bumper ?  I am not sure of the grade of steel used in a bumper but I bet this would be the hot nut to save another bumper.  I recycle all my used metals, if I am scrapping it, I would feel guilty about it for some reason.

A good bumper re-chrome shop can straighten that bumper...don't throw it out!!

True as long as it's a good shop.  I have 2 fiberglass bumpers and 2 steel (on the car)  both pretty straight , here's the bent one , looks to have been repaired possibly once before anyway ...

Sell it "as is" to someone who needs it and let them use it as a core to have straightened and re-chromed...

not trying to sell it per say but ... If anyone here needs it, I would rather give it away than destroy it.  That is pretty much my reason to post it here , this is my favorite place !!

I sold a couple of bent cores to Auto Medic (the guy who took over for Frank Mitchell). He gave me $50/each........

Don't toss it! Someone can use it. I actually bought a bent rear bumper for my 63 Dart because it was in better shape than the original. And my 70 Nova's rear bumper is beat, but I don't mind, its not a show car. The point is, someone can use it.

Thanks guys !  I do have some vfn fiberglass bumpers and a good set of steels on the car now.  Posted this post to help someone out that needs a bumper for a core or something.  This site rocks !!
