Wiring Side Marker Lights to incorporate the directional signal
« on: February 06, 2008, 12:52:01 PM »

My '68 Dart has the smaller round side marker lights that illuminate when the parking or headlights are on.  I was wondering if anyone has wired these to blink when the turn signal is operated.  If so, how would one go about doing it?
My sincerest thanks to all, J

Go to danielsternlighting.com. There's directions how to do that on there. Also scematics on installing relays and all other sorts of stuff.

Here's the link.

We used to get the same effect when you isolated, or lost, the ground from the lamp when it was tied into the turn signal's feed.  Dunno

Does the flasher sense a different load and then have an abbreviated blinking sequence?

You can get an electronic flasher that will handle the load and still flash like normal.
