I need the center section, not a housing. Looking for a Sure Grip pumpkin, I'm getting "sticker shock". I had no idea that were $500+ just for a used SG rear.
What do the numbers mean that he's pointing to with the pen? Anyone know??

that's a 20$ fix i guess you mean to redrill the axles and drums, you then still have the skinny a body brakes, hard to find drums, redrilled axles with the lugs near the outside edges of the axles and the rims wont be hubcentric if i remember right, and that old original housing can be tweaked. you would be money way ahead if you buy a c body housing and have it narrowed on a jig for 100-150 and have the axles resplined, but i guess some people are looking to keep the small bolt pattern. i have a drum to drum a body 8 3/4 that i couldnt get 650 complete with a 3.55 sure grip, so its going in my 31 essex. 10 years ago i would have been pissed to hear some one did such a thing because i couldnt find an a body housing when i wanted one, they seemed like the needle in the haystack. i went dana instead.
