Hey Dragginmopars, you're quite an inspiration! I don't have the nuggets to do my
own porting. My porter said he would go as high as he has to on the intake ports;
I'll add a little weld across the top if I have to. The pushrod pinch is the real problem
area with BB mopar heads. I'll post some pictures when he's finished with them. I
left a Maxwedge head with him for reference. He said he could do better than that!

Is the valve guide removed? Or ground down? If it's ground down, I see that you left it intact on the intake side. Why is that? Just haven't got there, or something else?

Looking Good,  Draginmopars
                                       It is very impressive what you have accomplished in such
a short time. What valves are you going to use? Thanks for keeping us posted.

He (Todd) was asking $899. Flyboy has started a site to post for sale items. You can see the thread stickied here at the top of the wanted section.

Dang, that's a big heap of shavings:D

I can relate with the arm/elbow thing. My wife just massaged my arm last night and I had to ice it down. I've been doing a bunch of grinding with a 4" in some awkward positions. It gets to be brutal after awhile.

Progress???  Inquiring minds want to know.

Also, how much $$$ is involved in getting the outside of the pushrod pinch area welded up?

The reason I ask, is that I just bought rockers for my stroker project:

Oops... I guess I gots to pay more attention to the name on the left side...  that's R5-P7 project's post.

So, is there a target chamber size after milling, or just as small as can be done w/ mechanical considerations (valve clearance, etc)?

What kind of valve spring pressures do you have? Just wondering how long it will take until those crane rockers come through the valve covers.  Grin
