My family purchased a 1976 Dart SE (4 door, 6 cylinder) a few years back. I personally used it as a daily driver for a few months in High School, my mom used it as a daily driver for a while, but now it needs some help to get back on the road.
My dad was run off the road one Saturday morning by a sleepy pickup driver and tore up the oil pan and k-frame on a storm drain. It's a easy enough to find a oil pan, but the k-frame is another story.
We're looking on ebay for a replacement but since we can't find anything off of a '76 6 cylinder, we'd like some advice as to what will interchange. PREFERABLY we'd like to keep it a 6, for the time being, but we CAN put in a 318 that we have sitting around.
So the question is: what years will bolt-on to a '76?
I'm not looking for offers to buy anything, just information. Though, if anyone has solid k-frame, my e-mail is available in my profile.
Thanks in advance for any information that will help get us back on the road!

A-bodies since 1978, this one since 1983

The same k-member was used from 1973 to 1976. Any other k-member will require a mount change or the engine swap.

Thanks.
Just for the sake of finding anything that will fit: 1973-1976 also applies for an 8-cylinder engine, correct? Or are there more or fewer options?

Any 67-76 a-body k-member will bolt in. There would be other issues with a 72-earlier k-member if your car has a sway bar.

Keep in mind 6 and 8 k frames are different. If your going with an 8 I'd get the 8 frame. They sell conversion mounts but there more money.Just my 2 cents.

Alright, thanks for the advice. Hopefully we'll be able to find something soon.
Also, we've known about the difference for 6 and 8. We're trying to keep the 6 but if it comes to the 8, it'll go in. The 8 may end up in our LeBaron if it stays out of the Dart.
