Torque specs
« on: February 14, 2008, 09:16:22 AM »

What are the torque specs for the: k-member to frame, UCAs and leaf springs? Should I use red/blue loctite on any? Or just some anti-sieze? Also, the UCAs, iv'e noticed that if they are turned down to much, they cant move any more. What is the correct way to set them up? Thanks for any advice

I don't know any specs offhand, but I would use blue Loctite on the K frame bolts. Loctite prevents the threads from rusting also since it blocks air from getting at the steel.

The leaf spring bushing bolts should not be tightened until the car is weighted properly, otherwise, they bind with the car jacked up.

Leaf spring to axle U bolts are torqued to 45 ft-lbs.  Don't know the other specs off hand.
