I'm trying to get my wiring sorted but not doing too well. My brake lights dont work, i have power to the switch, the switch works, the bulbs are all in and are good but the number plate light is not connected( fibreglass bumper) and i have no side markers. My indicators dont work, there's power to the front side lights, i've changed the flasher on the L shaped switch under the dash, also, the front indicators have a connector on the outside of the casing with no wire coming off. My horn doesn't work, the horn works itself but there's no power to the horn. I would appreciate help with any of these problems Mike

Make sure the ground is good on the tail light housings. Sounds like the indicators aren't grounded, either. The horn circuit uses a relay behind or above the left kick panel. The relay has constant 12v to the positive side of the coil and the horn button grounds the other side. The relay then provides 12v to the horns which are grounded through the body of the horn to the body of the car.

Thank you Jim, i was hoping you would read this Are the tail lights grounded by a wire or the casing. I've changed the flasher on the end of an L shaped plug, is that the right one Where do the indicators ground. Mike

There are two flasher units. One is by the steering column, the other is near the ashtray. The tail lights on 67 and 68 Darts ground through the housing, BUT if you've too much paint they may not ground well. Also, on 67 and 68 Darts there is a ground wire from the grille lights to the radiator support.

I have found that using a separate ground panel, I dont seem to run into trouble. Most places like Ron Francis or Painless, etc. have them. Just find a place to put it and run a good ground wire to the panel from the frame and run all your grounds to it.

Tony You would be suprised how many Dodges and Plymouths are over here, we have our own Mopar euronats, that gets entrants with cars from all over europe. Here's a link to the Mopar Muscle Association. http://www.moparuk.com/forums/Jim I spent 3 hours today cleaning all the tail lights and bulb holders, still no brake lights, i checked the grounds on the front indicators but no joy there, The earth wire is missing on the horn centre, the spade connector is there but no wire. I'm going to have a look for the other flasher relay tomorrow and investigate the wipers and washers which aren't working. It would be nice to make a breakthrough on some of this. Mike

Strip out the wiring and start over. All kidding aside, wiring is the biggest pain in the ars ever. Best of luck. I am with Jim though, I would have figured it to be a bad ground.

Well, progress is none existent at the moment, i've got half the dash apart, seats out, steering wheel and support off but still struggling. I have good fuses and bulbs, my indicators wont flash, the earths are all there and clean, i've changed the flasher relay that spurs off to the brake light switch but i cant find the other, which i think, comes from the black ammeter wire. the brake light switch and wires to it, have power but brake lights still dont work, i've cleaned all the rear lights and bulb holders but still no worky, although the front and rear lights work. the wiper motor works but the switch has no power to it, the wiper firewall plug harness is new, but wipers still dont work. It's 12 pm here and i'm tired, so i will look for any replies tomorrow. Mike

Well managed to sort indicaters and hazards, one of the flashers was missing and the other was faulty, still no brake lights though or wipers, on the wiper switch, there is a connection for a single wire, can anyone tell me what this is for. Mike
