I'm not sure, he's been emailing this morning. I figured he'd be here. I guess the thread that he started about his old K-member wasn't a for sale ad. If I'm not mistaken I'm thinking............Well I'd better let him tell the story.

On the early A body it takes a longer spacer. Bill accidentally sent me a short spacer, so I needed another 1/2 inch before we set up the bump steer. It took another 1/4 inch from what is the normal system for me to get the bump steer right. I really like the system compared to my old T-bar system. I can jack the car and everything goes straight up, no tires going eak eak eak. I will not get to the track till late march for test and tune.
Only changes to the chassis where Alterkation and I replaced the old Aladan rear single adjustable shocks with AFCO double adjustables. It is a 4-link car and has run as quick as 1.19 on 60 ft. That is footbraking, I have no transbrake in the car. However that was leaving at 3800 rpm. It is a real nice car and drivetrain, however it doesn't have a really wild B-1 or Indy headed small block.
My old K-frame, with KONI Shocks/Strange Hubs and Caliper Brackets, K-frame notched for Milidon pan, Mounts and T-bars are free to whomever is going to be racing an early A Body, you pick it up and buy me lunch. I guess my previous post of real cheap was thought to be a fore sale add, my apologize.

I am now down to needing 0ne 90 degree #16 fitting to finish off my cooling line before I can turn the key on her. Before I went to Iraq the car ran a best time of 6.02 at 111.5 mph with a normal 60 ft of 1.25, it has run 1.19 on 60 ft on a great track, methanol carb and leaving at 3800 rpm. Car is a true footbrake car, no t-Brake installed. Below is a list of what is in it and what has been changed, give me some guesses on what she may pick up:
2680 lbs car and driver (down 100 lbs) Dana 60 5.38 gear 4 link Coil over shocks (replaced Aldan singles with AFCO Doubles) Alterkation (it replaced stock ront end) Wheelie Bars, used often Strange Disk Brakes all 4 corners 14X31 Goodyear slicks, 98 roll out 3.5X26 Front runners Polished Centerline wheels Trick 904 transmission, all aluminum drums, billet input and output shafts, full rollerized, lightened sunshell, reverse manual valve body (A&A Rick Allison full boogie job) Aluminum Drive shaft Turbo Action 5800 true stall convetor
Motor: By Hensley Performance 340 block .060 over 4.100 Program Billet splayed caps Mopar 3.79 Crank Eagle H-Beam Rods Ross Light Piston, 400 grams without pin, flat top .005 out of whole, giving me a .034 piton to head and 12.1 compression Total Seal Rings Comp Roller Cam Int. .655, 276@.050 Exh. .660 282@.050 set up on 103.5 (old cam flat tappet .575 272@ .050 .592 278@.050 set up 0n 104) Crane roller Lifter (old comp flat) Head are Indy edlebrock old flow was 284 cfm, new flow is 292 cfm
Trashed Old indy rockers( as they were already trashing themselves, 1 broke with 400 passes on flat tappet spring pressure, those guys just refuse to make a quality rocker) and set up a custom set of cranes, four different part numbers to make it work right, two BB stage six numbers and two BB standard head numbers, had to custom make the spacers and mill the sides on a few pedestals, best valve train geometry I have ever had.
Smith brother Push rods and adjusters Comp 943 valve springs 245lbs on seat Comp Ti retainers
Edlebrock Super Victor Intake (Old intake was a victor) you really can't compare these two intakes the super victor is a race intake I have added a special Intake collector, new technology, has picked up the super stockers over a tenth and 1.5 mph 1050 gas dominator for spring and fall, 1050 alky dominator for summer, by Quick Fuels Custom made Headers by Steve Mutakus Race Cars 1 5/8th to 1 3/4 to 2 inch with 3.5 collector, (he also installed the molly cage and had the car certified to 4.50 1/8 and 8.50 1/4, this was new while I was gone, with paint new lexan and some new aluminum work)
I leave the line at 2500 on the footbrake, shift at 6800-6900 and go thru at the same, 1/8 mile is all they run around here
The car launches forward and starts pulling the wheels about 1.5 feet, when I pull second gear it continues up another 1.5 feet, I am going to try and take a little of the wheel stand out of it. However it hooks consistant and drives so straight you could lay your hands in your lap. I hope it continues the same with the Alterkation. More to follow. Beep beep Out
