I have three cars I am working on at the same time: 70 Roadrunner, and two 70 Darts. Most of which I was well into before I ventured onto this site. I would have to say I have close to $30K and nothing is finished. My sons 70 Dart is drivable, but it needs a torque converter. Since I just went through a divorce and bought a house, unfortunately they won't be finished in the near future. I do believe I would have done things a little more economicaly had I been on this site sooner. I would not have tried to work on three cars at the same time. I would have finished one before I got into the next. Hindsight is 20-20 vision. As others have said, it has nothing to do with the site, just my love of mopars and doing what I can afford at the time. I love this stuff, period!!!

I stumbled upon this site on Thanksgiving '07 and then set-about to find a solid '68 Dart Convertible that I could transform into a reliable, fun, unique and fast nice-day driver. That being said: $20K for the car $6K for Bill's alterK w/all the goodies $2k for Bill's 4 link rear end $5500 for a crate gen III 5.7 hemi $4000 for the Tremec 5 speed conversion $3000 plus or minus for tires and wheels (not yet chosen or purchased) $300 for refurbished/recalibrated factory console tach Estimates for installation and shake-down is @ $8k with me doing the work I'm capable of doing....Dirty Harry once said, "a man's got to know his limitations" I can honestly say that I would be nowhere near this kind of money if I didn't find this website, but I would also be trying to build a car blindly and it wouldn't go/stop/steer or be nearly as fun/safe/unique as I'm certain it will be. The build starts THIS week...I'll post some pic's I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for ALL the advice, encouragement and expertise, J

A-bodies since 1978, this one since 1983

I was spending on a-bodies long before the internet. I was building my first big block a-body long before the internet. So, this site really hasn't cost me any money.
