Topic: Dart Sport rear wheel opening mod (Read 135 times)

I am thinking about re-working the rear wheel opening to match the front fenders on my Dart Sport. If I can find a set of junk fenders for a Dart or Demon, I plan to cut the entire wheel opening out and graft them into to rear when I repair the rear quarters this summer. I'll post a photoshop'd rendition of what I plan to do, when I get my graphic editing PC back up and running.
Has anyone done this mod yet?
While I am at it, I am going to radius the front of the rear wheel opening about an inch, so I can squeeze a taller tire in there after I burn this set up!!

Sounds cool.....never seen it done on an Abody. You probably already know it's gonna be some work.

Yep.....I've done it on brand-x cars before. Just thought it might look nicer if the rears matched the fronts on the Sport.

Seen the process on a 57 chevy. It was difficult to get a consistent radius, but on that car it was made from scratch not from a fender. Not too much cost, if the skillz are there to do it yourself.
Looking forward to your progress
