Hi all, been a while. Finally got a blower motor to fit in the 72 Swinger/440 with the MP cast covers. Took a bit of searching, but found a universal motor at Advance for $18.
Fits nicely in place and even bolts up to the factory motor plate on the heater box assembly and uses the factory cover and firewall gasket. Looks pretty snazzy. Normally, I wouldn't care - rather save the 5 pounds anyway - but women just can't figure that out - especially when they're cold. Lemme know what ya think, and if anyone is interested, I can get the part number for ya. -Supa

Hey, sorry, didn't get ya the p/n yet. Got sidetracked this morning trying to cure leaks from those F'in corner bolts on the heads. Tried everything to get those things to stop leaking antifreeze (teflon tape, gobs of hi-temp rtv, longer bolts etc.) I'm to the point of yanking the heads off and welding those F'in things closed on the inside of the water jackets. What a great F'in idea. Ran out of time and had to get to work. Anyway, sorry about the rant. I'll get the part number this weekend and post it first thing monday. -supa

Gave that a try this weekend I guess it worked. Thanks! I still have some leaky valve cover issues that are making throw tools into the yard in fits of blind rage. Ok, maybe not that bad...yet. I'll find 'em all later when I mow the lawn. ! Here's the p/n's that I got off the sticker. Hope these help. Found it at Advance Auto. 14504 05350 unimotor It fit very well - and no firewall or heater box mods, but if I recall I had to adjust the spacing a tad with a washer or two behind the firewall. Let me know if you have any questions. -Supa

They let me look on the shelf until I found one that I thought would work, rather than run motors back and forth to me 100 times. That was the smallest one that the store I went to had.
I couldn't tell you an application for it. Their website is a waste of time regarding those numbers, as I tried looking it up this morning. If those don't help, I'll see if i can find the receipt for that, but I wouldn't hold my breath. -Supa

I bought one of those universal blower motors for my 68 barracuda, I did not like the looks of the studs sticking out, so I changed the screws from the older motor and cut off the extra length.
