Just drove it back to the shop from the alignment store

I'm driving my X5 and trying to take pic's @ the same time, sorry for the framing and lack of quality, Rick was having too much fun burning rubber between 2nd and 3rd gears...you can detect a look of concentration on his face.  I was just trying not to crash into him and shoot a decent photo at the same time laughing like a schoolgirl as he's getting squirrely.
Need to get all the gauges working, rehang/mount the electronic fuel pump (way too noisy attached to the trunk floor) and it'll be in my garage in the next week or so Smiley

I'm replacing the inner marker light housings for a two-wire lead, that way I can get them to repeat the turn signal as well as illuminate when the lights are on.  I'll consider the relocation of the battery, but after I've had a chance to put some miles on it.
Thanks for the props

Lookin' good John, lookin' good.   Keep the pics of progress coming.   As for video, how 'bout burnin' a little rubber using sound so we can hear how that Hemi sounds under power?

By the way, how's she handle?

I had the chance to go for a ride in Johns car today! He even let me drive it for a while.  I'm here to tell you all it is even nicer than the pictures let on.  It pulls hard, and handles like a slot car.  I shot a quick video for all to see.  sorry about the quality at the end.  Enjoy!

John,
Thanks for the vid.    She sounds real good!   The mufflers are just quiet enough that you can hear the headers, yet when you get on it, they're plenty loud enough.   What mufflers are you running and what size pipes?   Oh, and how much tread do you have left on those tires?    4 speed   lol

Thanks O.J., the car is a blast to drive and it'll cruise down the freeway @ 90 MPH w/out any drama...smooth and quiet (relatively) and hardly breaking a sweat thanks to the 5 speed.
The exhaust is 2.5" stainless w/out an H pipe or crossover and the mufflers are from Pypes, I tried the FlowMasters but they were a bit loud for my tastes.

It does sound quite good.  Just loud enough when you dig in, but mellow at idle.  I love it!

Just an update on Bill's AlterKtion, Lynx rear end, 5.7 hemi, Tremec 5 speed and all the rest of the goodies.   throw money

I've put over 1000 miles of light, medium and hard driving and this set-up is FANTASTIC, well balanced and powerful with great, did I say great? extrodinary brakes...as good or better than my X5.  This thing is a gas to drive on the curvy roads and purrs like a kitty on the freeway under 2k RPM's @ 80 mph.  I also get @ 20 mpg's, it has become my daily driver when it's not raining.

Just another thank you to all the members here, especially Bill and OJ

Your welcome John.   Glad you have it together already to enjoy this summer.   I'm shooting for enjoying mine NEXT summer.    Question:

How do you like the clutch assembly from Keisler?   More important to me, what do you think of the hydraulic throwout bearing.   Is it engaging / dis-engaging the clutch O.K.?   How's that Tremec shift?

Keep the videos coming...

I have to say that the hydraulic clutch is very tactile and easy to modulate and it hooks-up like a bear trap...no slippage or hesitation.  It has a solid feel and very docile manners; city/traffic driving is not an issue...almost like operating a Honda, well almost Grin

The Tremec is very crisp and accurate, although the 2nd to 3rd shift takes some getting used to.  I was in a little dog-fight with a GT Mustang and had him off the line and through 2nd gear and missed 3rd went straight to 5th and looked like a complete ROOKIE...and I'm over 40 years old for crissake Smiley  One thing I do really like is the drivability when you're just cruising, the throws are just long enough to feel like you've shifted, but short enough to not have any lag.  I don't know if you've ever driven a Miata or VW GTI, but those throws are far too short for my tastes, the Tremec is just right.

We'll have to hook-up and you can feel for yourself,  it's really a well engineered, balanced package that works incredibly well with all of Bill's gear.

I love AZ, but the Northwest is too nice to leave in the summer.  An early winter road trip down there would be a definite possibility, thanks for the invite to your great state Grin  Excellent golf courses there as well

It's funny... you're going to let me drive your car, which is the SAME EXACT car my Dad was trying to buy a while back from the guy on the east coast.

small world.  I should have let you drive it before all the work throw money...it was a nightmare.  Steering was only a suggestion, it was all over the road.  Now it's a slot car, you'll be amazed.  Where's your new place of employment?

I have an action shot and then you can see that I need to have my gauges recalibrated (the oil pressure gauge is pegged, the voltmeter is three quartered pegged and the temp is at the very end of normal and it's only running @ 195 degrees) for the 5.7 Hemi and the speedo is off by @ 10 MPH to the slower so I'm going @ a hundred...very calm and smooth
