plastic wire tuibes

Hello:
i Think most of us have used that split plastic tube to run wire through, and it don't look to bad in some cases at least it keeps the wires together.
But what do you when you find you forgot a wire and you have the plastic loom cut to length and fastened it place.  One choice is to try and  work the wiire in without tearing the other wires apart.  Pushing wire through the loom with other wires in it is just impossible.
Here is what works most of the time for me.  Find and old speedometer cable and strip out inner drive cable. Carefully tape your wire using as little as possible tape.  For at least 6 inch length. Avoid a big glob of tape make a thin wrap down the wire and cable.  Then carefully feed the cable and wire through the loom.  The speedometer cable is stiff enough to push while still being flexible.  Go through the from the end that may need the least pushing till you can grab the wire.
Give it a try and see if it works for you.

Good tip.

That's something I fear---having everything looking nice and working well and then realizing that I still have to add/modify/repair something.

I ran all of my engine bay wiring through that kind of tubing, to clean up the wiring and protect it, but you cant see most of it anyway since I hid it ! !nanr

Awesome work. Great attention to detail. I want to do this to my 73 Swinger but not sure where to begin. Can you give me some tips on how you did this or what you read or learned.
