Full quarters for A-bodies
« on: April 13, 2008, 08:56:37 PM »

I read in the latest issue of Mopar Enthusiast, that someone is working on full OEM style quarter panels for Duster, Darts, and Demons.  Has anyone heard when they will be available yet?

Hmmmm.....I was looking at AMD about a 6 months ago.  Didn't realize they are the ones making the new quarters.  Thanks!

Alan at AMD says the Duster/Dart Sport/Demon quarters are still under development and should be released in June/July sometime.  I asked him about future plans for the gas tank mounting bracket that sits in the spare tire well........he says it may be a future part.

http://www.jimsautoparts.com/body.htm

This place also shows that they are going to be available later this year. And they are a bit cheaper on most parts.

I'm going to be watching AMD like a hawk now. If they're a thicker steel than other aftermarket quarters, major bonus. My '74 Duster needs new quarters bad (though that's the only real cancer I've found so far, yay) and it's going to be fricken expensive for me to get them replaced.

Anyone know if AMD's rear glass has the defroster element?

Has anyone tried www.autobodyspecialt.com ? I saw an ad in Mopar Action and I need a trunk floor. If anyone has used them I would appreciate some feed back. Thanks
