They are about 30" tall, so you will have to either move the rearend back an inch or trim the front of the wheel well.

Those are the size i am considering also. I plan on moving superstock springs inboard and mini-tubbing.

With mini tubbing, width won't be a problem. The height will be a problem, unless you move the rear back, or trim the quarter. codfish

I have the same size MT street radials on my 71 demon with min-tubs and springs re-located. Have them on 10 inch Weld wheels, but I can't remember the back-space. I trimmed about 3/4 of an inch off the quarter panel in the front of the wheel opening. I think I only had to trim the lower 6 inches. Hardly noticeable. They sure fill up the wheel housing.

I have to admit "big bitches" is what I want, partly for traction, partly for intimidation, partly because a local has the 295/65's on his, so I had to get bigger ones!

my dumb ass installed a 60, with a four link, maxi tub. Forgot to move it backwards.4.88, need 30 or 31. I keep staring at the wheelwell. Think 1" trimmed on the front will work. Damn, I hate to cut the car.

I guess it depends on when your torque comes in. I run that tire and 3.55 gears and still destroy the tires in first and second

ive got 3:23 gears in mine. it hooks well on the street. turbo's dont have a sudden spike of torque like a blower so my tires seam to like it. it only broke loose on me once. and that was a cold december day racing a modded 04 cobra. i was basicly doing a burn out while passing him in third gear... when we got to the next light he wouldnt look at me and he turned on the next street!!

What a shame, can't take his beating with a smile, lol. Forced 340 we need to check into some shows that we both can attend, that would be cool both cars the same color, one with turbo and the other blown

Yes and how many people run 4.88's on the street? Like I said no need for a tire that big or a gear that steep.

Pretty close to that, I have 4.56, which are about right for my combo. Years ago I learned that the contact patch is much bigger with a taller vs wider tire. I had better traction and 60 ft times with 275/60 than with 295/50 tires when I used to race my Dakota. Personally I think, if it fits, why not go with a taller tire?

I have 4.88's. 1/8', 1/4', street. Just change the rear tires, instead of constantly taking the Dana apart...
