New front tires!
« on: April 19, 2008, 09:45:16 PM »

I've had the M/T drag radials on for a couple of years.  finally got around to replacing the fronts.  Had M/T sportsman fronts (bias ply) on there.  Car didn't drive very well.  Replaced them with Kuhmo 165-80-R15 radials.  What a difference.  Like a different car.  With the old tires, they would follow any crack in the road.  No more.  Had to wait since last august to get the tires, but it was worth it.

I just did the front tire purchase for the 73 Swinger.   15x5 steelies up front are getting 180/65-15, and the 15x7 rears are getting 225/60-15.   The 15x5s have 3.25 BS, the 15x7s have 4.25 BS.   The rears are stock 5th ave rims, the front are stock 72 C body rims.

What tires do you have on the back?
