At my drag strip a guy rents jr dragsters, for kids up to 17 years old, i thought that the next step would be to rent drag cars. Any thought except the legal one, including how much i could charge per-pass. How much for a 12 sec, 10 sec, 9 sec.
Thx Marv

Might be a problem with the track administators and the track insurance?

I would also think of your liability renting a 10second car to "joe schmoe" off the street.

ya in most case's guys that can handle a 10 second car or faster probably have one themselves......but say to the more unexperienced driver that would love to get into the sport and see what it's like.... would still get a thrill out of even a 14 second car

A agree. I think a 12, 11, or 10 second would be too much for someone whos only "renting". Plus, for someone to rent a 9 second car, they'd have to have one.

Thx for the responces.I do know that they rent indy cars if you can bring over the sponsors and drag racing it just happened the year before when I can't remember who got ousted because the other driver brought over a million in sponsorship. That was Funny car. These are seasoned pro's or at least have a comp licence.
I'm suprised no gave me there idea's on how much I would be able to charge per pass.

I know a drag car is a lot different, but, go to Dover, and you can rent a Nascar. A friend did it and said it was a blast. They use a pace car to keep you from going TOO fast, and there is no passing. He got stuck behind a slow poke that didn't know how to drive a clutch, he said that sucked. I think he said they gave him a couple extra laps to make up for it. He was behind the pace car and just followed his track. Said it was great. Best lap was something like 138 mph, Joe.
