Topic: Why no tech on back seat mods after spring relocation ? (Read 312 times)

Okay there is all this tech on relocating the springs. how about one on getting the back seat back in. how you did it etc. I am about to relocate my springs in the 66 belvedere and I want a back seat in the car. help me out here as I just gave 100.00 for the rear seat (needs recovered)

I took the seat cover off. Measured the distance of the wheel well from inside the interior, make a card board template. Now put this against the bottom part of the seat frame, cut and reweld seat frame.

i left the cover on and cut the frame then just reinstalled it. no one sits back there anyway.

I put full tubs in it and didn't have to modify the seat at all

it's just the back that's the problem. the bottom you just have to push real hard to get it to latch up into the bracket on the floor.

OK, what does relocating your springs have to do with your back seat? I don't think you did it right if you can't just put your seat back in the same way it came out......

My mini tubbed, to the frame rails, '70 Dart's rear seat went back in no problems with zero modifications...
