Does anyone know if the AlterKtion(which has already been installed) can be taken out with it fully assembled? I figured I would ask before I beat my head against the wall. thanks, Erik

don't see why not.. unbolt the upper arms and the steering shaft and it should drop right out.

I do that alot. However, by yourself it's clumsy because the weight is across the wheels, not at the crossbar where the jack fits. If you put a board or metal across under the lower control arm mounts and stick the jack under that, it's fairly balanced and you can remove it alone. I made a little bracket for my jack to do it - 1x1 square about 30" long with a 6" leg on each side. Weld a little pin in the middle to fit in the jack, and on each end leg I put small piece of tubing split to make little round saddles that rest on the control arm mounts - but it was worth doing because I remove them so often.

Those who say it can't be done, should not interrupt those of us who are doing it.
