Grille/headlight bezel resto help
« on: April 23, 2008, 02:38:59 AM »

Hi guys,  have a question. What would be a good way to refurb my grille and dash bezels? I thought about soda blasting them, coating with epoxy/etch then bodywork and finally spray with Krylon chrome paint. Is this a good idea? I just dont have they cash to buy new ones (I think its close to a $1000) and no-one here knows how restore these things. If I had an aluminum compatible TIG welder this would not have been a problem... Any input appreciated.

There was a previous post about some rattle can spray chrome that somebody used on their plastic parts and they were recommending it for use on dash stuff too. Looked pretty good as I recall. I'm afraid I don't remember who it was though. I guess I got caught up in how good it looked I didn't make a note on who it was.
