Anyone else using these wheels? What did you use for lug nuts? I bought Center Line 1/2" shank mag style lug nuts with the wheels and they bottom out before they are tight. I called Center Line and Summit, where I bought them, and they both say they should be right. They seem to be bottoming on this shoulder at the base of the wheel studs. I have stock 73 discs up front and Moser axles in back, both have the same problem... Any ideas? Thanks again, you people have been great help! Wayne

Are you using washers? I think they are required.

The Convo Pro is real thin. I had washers and open end lug nuts.

Yes my lug nuts came with the washers they are about .150 thick. When I torque them down you can still spin the washers. These nuts are 1/2" or .350 with washers, I couldnt find any that were shorter, and these are supposed to be right. The tech guy at Center Line said he had no clue. Thanks Wayne

If you can still spin the washers, they are not tight!!! Those washers are too thick. Put a thinner washer on then retorque them.

I have these on my car with 3 inch studs. I bought summit lug nuts, took them back, bought centerline, took them back, then bought McGard open end and have had no problems. The summit had the holes drilled off center and partially egged out one hole. The centerline lugs were not any better. The McGard are beautiful pieces, but the are a little expensive, but no problems with them so far.

McGuard lug nuts are the best. They're all I use.

Thanks for your replies. My lug nuts are Center Line closed end, could be running out of thread inside. My wheel studs are stock up front and my Moser axles have stock replacment studs. The washers spin even when torqued to 85 lbs. I guess I will order a set of Mcgard open end nuts and long studs, dont most dragstrips require them any way? Wayne

They do, but there is an et break where it is required. I can't remember right now what that is though.
