My gas and temp gauges are not working. I grounded the temp sensor and the gauge moved fine. Tells me that the gauge is ok. I removed the cluster, inspected the pins, and they all looked fine. I scuffed up the copper circuit board and couldn't see any breaks in it. I replaced the instrument voltage regulator. reinstalled it made sure to have good connection from wiring harness. Still dont have either gaue. Tried to groung sending unit at the tank, but it made no difference. I grounded the back of the gauge and the gauge read full. Going to have to get my power probe from work to see if everything is getting power. Any suggestions?

sounds like you need a temperature sender for the temp guage, and the wire from the tank to the gas guage is broken.

Get a spool of wire and temporarily run it from the gas tank sender to the gauge. Shorted it should read all one way and open the other then try it from the tank. Sometimes the wire inside the plug on connector for the tank disconnects or breaks off inside where you can't see it. The same thing happens with the temp sender too.

I checked the copper circuit board on the back of the cluster and it is grounded. The back of the temp gauges and the circuits running from the instrument voltage regulator to the gauges are grounded is this normal?
