Be careful.......the outside of the lines is not what you should be concerned about. After years of use, the insides get thin due to moisture buildup and usually on a bend they can be the thinnest. Found that out the hard way one day when I hit the brakes hard when some idiot pulled out on me and the pedal hit the floor, luckily it was the rear line and had enough brake to stop me along with a hard right turn of the wheel.
When I got home and jacked it up, it was a blowout on a bend. .............for what its worth, just put new on.

jackie,

For the price of new brake lines in one of these old cars don't take any chances, REPLACE them! I had a front brake line on my 93 Dodge Ram let go. Fortunately I was in my drive way at the time. I was backing up to a trailer and stabbed the brakes pretty hard and the pedal went to the floor. The line looked good from the outside accept for a slight discoloration at the point of failure. Needless to say I replaced them all.
