You can get it out w/o removing the windshield by cutting off the fasteners from underneath.  It is much easier by removing the glass.

Re-installing with the glass in, I have never done this.......Another post says it can be done

I have just taken the glass out of mine. The screen had delaminated across the whole bottom edge and although I was not too bothered if the screen broke or not as It was going to be repalced (hopefully), I found that by spaying into the screen seal with WD40 or simular  for a couple of days before allowing it to fully penatrate as it softens up tyhe rubber very slightley and makes the screen removal very easy

If you do remove the windshield, a new one will cost around $230 w/ instal but before tax. I looked up Dart windshields a few weeks back while work was slow. (I work at NOVUS).

Think about it for a moment; your trying to save a 30+ year old rubber gasket that probably leaks anyway. Especially if you have a vinyl top! Get out the box cutter and get a new rubber gasket. Yes, the glass price is at least $200. I'm having mine replaced, as we speak, even though I was able to remove the original one safely. Since I cut it out, I had to replace the old rubber gasket, but looking at this economically, a $65 gasket or a $200+ piece of glass?? Hmmm. Call me cheap, but if that new gasket works, my new carpet will be a whole lot drier came the rains.

I was planing on just cutting them out and using new gaskets and trim clips.

When I put new clips in, does the screws have a rubber washer or do i have to use a sealer to keep the holes from leaking?
