Would geting the main hoop in at the right spot on top of the 6x6 plates and tack. thin place the halo hoop in and front down tube and tack. Go back and weld the halo with a good strong beed, remove the tacks from the down tube and main hoop and lower the halo and down tube forwerd to the front of the car so you can see the tops of the main hoop and halo. Weld the main hoop to the halo all the way around. Raise back up and find the location of the main hoop again and down tube and tack. Now weld all the way around all tubes,

Does this sound like it would work....

When you get the front tubes fit on the 6" x 6" plates, remove the plates and hole saw with 2.25 - 2.5" bit. Lower the front tubes and main hoop through the floor and weld up. When completed, lift the assembly up through the floor, cover the top of the hole with the 6" x 6" plate and the bottom with a torque box.

That is exactly what I did to mine. I have one of the Jegster 12 point cages and I placed the top hoop where I wanted it and built the rest around it. I really like the way it looks for under $400 including shipping. I also bent the rear struts a hair to keep them hidden since this is going to be mainly a street car. Sorry for the poor quality of the pictures. I took them with my phone

I was hoping to do it without cutting the floor but a 2.5 hole is not that bad. If im covering it with the plates it will not matter. Will doing this really give you room to weld the tops of the Halo and main hoop and the Down tubes to the truck tubes over the shocks. It still looks like it would be realy hard to get to still.
