now i'm confused because it sounds like it should be rubbing the right side not the left.
sounds like your springs/axle are not centered

whatever is causing the problem, most likely you will need to cut the perches and reweld the housing in the correct position

So you need to move the rear over 1/4". You can weld the centering holes up on the perches and redrill the holes over a 1/4" on each perch.

It's best to pick 2 or 3 points on the car that are same side to side. Mounting points, frame mounts, things like that. Just get it as close as you can.

Unless you are changing the ride height you can set it same as stock. If you don't know the stock setting then it's best to have the rest in. But you can still center up the rear end.

It would most likely be best to wait till you get everything and set it up how it calls for then.

I've heard the torsion bar holes in the cross member is one of the better, more accurate places to measure from.  I'll be inboarding my rear susp too in a couple of weekends, I hope to move it back an inch too.  I hope I get it all centered and dont make any  brain fart

I would read the tech article on here about the relocating the springs, he talks about measuring the rear end square.  I thought of measuring in a X from the left torsion bar hole to the right axle flange.  I was also thinking of taking the stock front leaf spring mounting bracket off and measuring from there.  I'm going to try and measure from a couple places like that and hope they all give me the same number from side to side.  I thinking I could measure from lower control arm ball joint pivot straight back or criss-cross to the axle flange.... we'll see if it gets me a straight shot with the tape measure.

Bottom line is that your rear is only off 5/32" on each side (5/16" total).  Even if your rear is centered, you still won't have adequate tire clearance with your present wheel and tire package.  You are gonna have to get either new wheels, tires, or both.

When I installed my new ESPO 1 inch over stock springs on my 73 Dart Sport the drivers side  of the axle was angled forward. When I installed my 255/75/15 tires the driver side tire touched the front fender lip. I made a 3/8 inch spacer and now I have a 3/8 space on the front of both tires. I measured both new springs before I installed them. What would hace caused this???
